Fabené J. Welch
Fabené J. Welch is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of EnerVest, Ltd., an oil and gas company based in Houston, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree in languages from Rice University and her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
Fabené is a committed supporter of the arts in Houston and an avid collector of the work of local artists. She has been involved with numerous local arts organizations including the Houston Arts Alliance (HAA) and its predecessor, the Cultural Arts Council of Houston and Harris County. HAA is a local, nonprofit agency that enhances the city’s quality of life through investment in the arts. She currently serves HAA as President Emeritus of its board of directors in addition to serving on numerous committees of the organization.
Fabené also serves on the board and chairs the Exhibitions Committee of the Houston Center for Contemporary Arts, a nonprofit arts organization founded to advance education about the process, product and history of craft.
